Los Angeles-based director and creative director Marcos Zavitsanos has spent over two decades directing commercials and content for some of the world's most recognized Fortune 500 brands and non-profit organizations. His roster includes Nike, Reebok, Toyota, Heineken, Adidas, Walmart, Nokia, NASCAR, Gatorade, Budweiser, Volkswagen, and many others — work that has earned recognition at Cannes Lions, the London International Advertising Awards, Telly, Mobius, Pencil, 4A's, and other prestigious award circuits.
Zavitsanos grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, where his passion for advertising took root early. Rather than transferring to the University of Maryland's film program, he made the decisive move to Los Angeles to pursue a position at the legendary production company Propaganda Films. There, he developed his craft working alongside directors David Fincher, Michael Bay, Antoine Fuqua, Spike Jonze, and Mark Romanek. He later expanded his experience working with Ridley Scott, Sam Bayer, and Zack Snyder — the latter co-signing his DGA initiation. During his years as a production assistant, Zavitsanos wrote, produced, and directed five commercials that became an award-winning spec reel, widely circulated and ultimately leading to his signing at a top-tier production company.
Throughout his career, Zavitsanos has collaborated with notable public figures including Kevin Garnett, J.J. Watt, Kevin Hart, Ne-Yo, Karl-Anthony Towns, Tony Stewart, and Kevin Harvick, among others.
Today, Zavitsanos operates at the forefront of modern creative production — functioning as both director and AI-integrated creative director, conceiving, developing, and executing original content for advertising agencies and brands. He leverages cutting-edge AI tools across ideation, visual development, and content creation, bringing a rare combination of seasoned directorial instinct and next-generation production methodology to every project.
Zavitsanos has also developed and pitched multiple scripted and unscripted series, all rooted in original intellectual property he has personally acquired. These projects are grounded in real people and true events, forming the foundation for compelling, character-driven storytelling with built-in authenticity. With a sharp eye for concept and a deep respect for narrative integrity, he focuses on stories that are both commercially viable and emotionally resonant — elevating real-life experience into content that is memorable and meaningful.
